We have represented contractors, design professionals, sureties and owners in matters involving breach of contract, construction claims for delays and extras, complex contract and drawing/specification interpretation, design errors and omissions, default and convenience terminations, surety take-overs, prevailing wage and union issues, VENDEX reporting matters, underpinning and lateral support disputes, design professional and trade contractor licensing matters, insurance issues, environmental law matters, and many other areas. Our clients are involved in public and private construction projects.
We have prosecuted and defended construction and A/E claims in the Federal and State courts, in arbitration proceedings, before Federal Boards of Contract Appeals, the NYS Department of Labor, and other administrative tribunals, and in mediation proceedings. The firm has extensive trial experience in both jury and bench trials.
Since alternate disputes resolution is common in the construction field, we have extensive experience in mediation and arbitration. One of the firms partners has been an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association's Construction Panel for more than 25 years, and has served as chairperson on numerous large and complex arbitrations. This affords are clients who are involved in arbitration, a unique perspective on the process and how to best present claims and defenses.
ROSSI & CROWLEY, LLP also serves as general counsel to many contractors and architect/engineering firms, providing general advice and assistance on contracts, claims, VENDEX and other governmental filings, shareholder issues, and other general matters. We have also negotiated countless construction contracts on behalf of contractors, owners and design professionals.
